In short

Do you have experience in education, is your English up to standard and would you like to teach students in an international setting? Are you independent, able to take initiative and would you like to keep developing yourself? Then we are looking for you!
In this position, you will be bringing international students up to VWO 6 level in one year. Throughout this year the students follow several courses and we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people to join our teaching team for the module Economics & Finance.

From January 2022 until the start of June 2023, you will teach a class or multiple classes of 15-20 international students. This requires thorough preparation, which you can plan flexibly yourself. The lessons take place at the teaching center in Amsterdam Centrum (next to a metro station). Depending on corona measures, teaching will either be online or on campus, or a combination of the two. During the year, you’ll create exams, administer and check them. You will be in regular contact with your colleagues about the content of the lessons and the students’ progress. In addition, you will handle the cultural differences in the group enthusiastically.

Who we are looking for

Essential for this position is that you have substantive knowledge of Economics and Finance, and can transfer this knowledge on VWO 6 or first-year university level. Experience with teaching, for example tutoring, is a big plus. You enjoy being in front of a group and teaching people something. It is a requirement that your English in speech and writing is at a sufficient level. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and a great sense of responsibility, who can work independently and has a proactive attitude.
