GMAT Quantitative Teacher in Amsterdam (+-4 hrs/week)

StudyTree is looking for a teacher with a mathematical background to teach quantitative GMAT preparation courses, on average one evening a week.

Who we are

StudyTree focuses on the educational development of students. We developed different brands focused on education. One of these brands is GMAT Amsterdam.
The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a standardized computer adaptive test which is used worldwide to select candidates for business administration master programs. GMAT Amsterdam is an organization that supports and guides candidates with their GMAT preparation. We offer online and offline courses and 1 on 1 sessions for the different sections of the GMAT. In addition, it is also possible to order online study material for the GMAT test on our website.

Teaching at GMAT Amsterdam

Teaching at GMAT Amsterdam is a flexible job, on average one evening per week, based on your availability, and can easily be combined with another job or a study.
As a new teacher you will be onboarded appropriately. The onboarding sessions include courses about the material you are going to teach and an opportunity to do the GMAT yourself if you have not taken the test before.
In the quantitative section of the GMAT, the candidate needs to solve mathematical problems which test his or her ability to analyse data and draw conclusions using reasoning skills. As a GMAT Quantitative teacher you will teach a small group of students in the form of a standardized course and 1 on 1 sessions. Our quantitative course consists of 5 lessons of 2 hours, one lesson per week for 5 consecutive weeks.

Who we are looking for

Essential for this position is that you have substantial background in mathematics and quantitative reasoning. You need to be able to transfer your knowledge and skills to a diverse audience ranging from university students applying for a (pre)master to professionals applying to an MBA. Prior teaching experience is not required. However, as the courses are taught in English, you do need to have proper language skills and be comfortable in front of a group. You are an enthusiastic person with a great sense of responsibility, who can work independently and has a proactive attitude.

  • Or a (mathematics) teacher;
  • Available to work with us for at least a year;
  • The following characteristics: motivated, independent, communicative and organized;
  • Living in Amsterdam or nearby;
  • Good level of English.

We offer:

  • Flexible working hours (often in the evening or in the weekends);
  • Competitive salary;
