Do you have experience in education, is your English up to standard and would you like to teach students in an international setting? Are you independent, able to take initiative and would you like to keep developing yourself? Then we are looking for you!
In this position, you will be bringing international students up to VWO 6 level in one year. Throughout this year the students follow several courses and we are looking for young, enthusiastic and motivated people to join our teaching team for the courses Mathematics and Physics.
Starting in September, you will teach a class or multiple classes of approximately 20 international students. This requires thorough preparation, which you can plan flexibly yourself. During the year, you’ll create exams, administer and check them. You will be in regular contact with your colleagues about the content of the lessons and the students’ progress. In addition, you will handle the cultural differences in the group enthusiastically and participate in activities inside and outside the lessons to help the students integrate.
Who we are looking for
Essential for this position is that you have substantive knowledge of mathematics and physics, and can transfer this knowledge on VWO 6 or first-year university level. Experience with teaching, for example tutoring, is a big plus. You enjoy being in front of a group and teaching people something. It is a requirement that your English in speech and writing is at a sufficient level. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and a great sense of responsibility, who can work independently and has a proactive attitude.
